I am going to say. I got a bogus text just this week but of course immediately trashed the message. I do not know much about how to obtain gift cards from services and service providers but I knew it is odd to receive gift cards, or anything else, at random . That is a very big and bright RED FLAG.  Anytime you receive a message like that do as I did and always do and delete the text scroll I wish I had had enough brains 2 block the number as well.
